Players spend months demoing rackets to find the perfect frame, only to string it with whatever is cheapest. Your frame is just the engine; your strings are the steering wheel.
String type and tension dictate launch angle, spin potential, power, and pocketing. But crucially, your string setup must be directly linked to your head size and racket weight. For example, at JG Rackets, we generally do not put full co-poly strings into lighter rackets. Light frames lack the mass required to absorb heavy impact, and adding a stiff co-poly transfers all that shock straight to your arm. Instead, we utilize modern soft polys or hybrid setups that offer control without the physical toll.
Lower tensions increase the trampoline effect for free power, while higher tensions flatten the string bed out for directional control. We pair the string chemistry and tension mathematically to your frame.
Finally, the machinery matters. A professional stringer using a modern electronic constant-pull machine will always do a better job and hold tension significantly longer than a manual home stringing job.
